Hello, friends – I need help. That's not easy for me to say, and I know so many others are also in bad places. I've had everything that could possibly go wrong do just that in my life and I'm at rock bottom.
Four months ago, unemployed and uninsured, I developed a medical issue that landed me in the ER twice (money I could ill afford to part with). The ER couldn't even diagnose the issue and told me that I had to see a specialist who could handle the kind of imaging that needs to be done. Uninsured, that simply wasn't financially possible and so I have just been living with it.
Two months ago I lost my home while still unemployed. Through the generosity of a dear friend I have a very temporary place to sleep.
While I've been looking for work I have been working 8-12 hours a day, 7 days a week delivering food through DoorDash; only taking a day off when I hit the wall and can't drag myself to my car. This income has at least kept my car from being repossessed, kept me fed day to day and managed to stretch my bills as far as I can. Today, I pulled up to a gas station to find that my car is coming apart and isn't safe to drive. I'm broke, I'm sick, and I just lost my only source of income to auto repairs that I can't afford. Any help you can spare would be deeply appreciated. And if you have any leads on work in St. Louis THAT would also be received gratefully.
